Chinese new year is also known as Lunar Year or Spring Festival, some people celebrate new year at the beginning of January, but for Chinese people they celebrate it according to the lunisolar calendar. Every year since I was small it was tradition to give a red envelope called 紅包 ( hongbao )to the children with money inside. It was a way of sending good wishes and good luck is expected to bestow more happiness and blessings on the receivers.
There´s nothing as too much of good fortune, remember may your year be full of happiness and lots of blessings, happy chinese new year ♥
(p.s: if you notice the red envelopes sign in the bottom are upside down but when the little girl catches them they start turning right-side up, in asia before new year the sign is upside down, but when the day comes they flip it right to let all the good fortune come to your life. )
Año nuevo chino también es conocido como Fiesta de la Primavera o Año nuevo Lunar es la festividad mas importante en el año calendario chino. Desde que era pequeña me acuerdo que era tradición que los mayores nos daban a los niños un sobre de color rojo llamado 紅包 ( hongbao ). Era un sobre que representaba la buena fortuna y las mejores bendiciones para ese año.
Yo siempre he dicho, nunca esta de mas tener demasiada fortuna, así que cuando estaba haciendo esta ilustracion en mente les mando a todos un año lleno de felicidad y las mejores bendiciones para este año ♥
